Food Service

Key members of our management team have been in the food service business for over 30 years in restaurant management, galley operations and hospital in-patient therapeutic meal services. At our peak, we simultaneously operated 5 full service galley and restaurant style kitchens serving up to three meals per day to over 5,000 patrons at various MWR and Naval Hospital facilities on Guam. In addition, provided Mess Attendant Services for six bases in San Diego, California.

In each of these projects our team was successful at reducing operational costs while raising customer satisfaction ratings and evaluations to as high as 99% time after time. We attribute these accomplishments to our effective recruitment of good people, outstanding training programs and strict performance standards to which all GFS employees are held.

Quality of life includes ensuring that school age dependents receive the best education. We contribute to this mission by extending our food service expertise to the Department of Defense Education Activity’s (DODEA) lunch programs. We have provided meal services to all three DODEA schools on Guam in 2004 and present. The contract encompasses a population of some 2,500 students between grades K through 12 and mandates compliance with USDA Nutrition and Preventative Medicine standards.

In addition to our galley and school lunch programs, we currently manage and operate three Quick Service Restaurant franchises at the food court of the Navy Exchange on Guam. This includes providing pier-side food operations for surges from visiting ships and carrier battle groups that regularly visit Guam.
